Critical participatory action research (CPAR) that is arts-informed and focused on democratizing knowledge production, psychosocial development, gender-based violence, and health and mental health equity among racialized groups. Facilitation of expressive, performance, and visual arts workshops centered on local and broad social problems (e.g., impacts of historical trauma, ongoing systemic oppression). The goals are the co-creation of meaning, sense-making, driving community affirmed solutions for liberation, joy, and healing — and organizing for action.
Community tours in public spaces. The goal is to recover and bring from the margins to the center the storied experiences of racialized groups, namely, racialized women. We record oral testimonios that empower communities to "bend toward action" for social justice and communal healing.
